Isotype Controls

Isotype Controls Isotype control antibodies are similar to the primary antibody but are raised against an antigen that is not present in the experimental sample. They should match the host species, antibody class, and subclass, and conjugate of the primary antibody. These controls are used to account for background signals caused by nonspecific antibody binding that may arise from artefacts, debris, and the biological activity of certain cell types. Visit the supplier page for more antibody details.
