Western blot was performed using CD98 Recombinant Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (Product # MA5-31209) and a 80 kDa band corresponding to CD98 was observed along with an uncharacterized band (*) at ~50 kDa in the cell lines (Fig a) and tissues tested (Fig b). Whole cell extracts (30 µg lysate) of A549 (Lane 1), MCF7 (Lane 2), OVCAR-3 (Lane 3), HEL 92.1.7 (Lane 4), HeLa (Lane 5) and THP-1 (Lane 6) of Fig-a; and tissue extracts of Mouse Kidney (Lane 1), Mouse Testis (Lane 2), Mouse Lung (Lane 3), Mouse Thymus (Lane 4), Rat Kidney (Lane 5), Rat Testis (Lane 6), Rat Lung (Lane 7) and Rat Skeletal Muscle (Lane 8) of Fig-b were electrophoresed using NuPAGE™ 4-12% Bis-Tris Protein Gel (Product # NP0322BOX). Resolved proteins were then transferred onto a nitrocellulose membrane (Product # IB23001) by iBlot® 2 Dry Blotting System (Product # IB21001). The blot was probed with the primary antibody (1:5000 dilution) and detected by chemiluminescence with Goat anti-Rabbit IgG (Heavy Chain), Superclonal™ Recombinant Secondary Antibody, HRP (Product # A27036, 1:4000 dilution) using the iBright FL 1000 (Product # A32752).
