Animal Monitoring Systems

Animal Monitoring Systems Animals, such as mice and rats, serve as important experimental models with similar, if not related, physiology, biochemistry, and disease biology to humans. Animal monitoring systems are necessary tools for analyzing behavioral and physiological responses to experimental conditions. From exercise monitoring to sensitivity monitoring, a variety of results can be recorded. Treadmills designed for rodents can be used to provide an exercise routine or to determine the effect of drugs on motor coordination or fatigue. Respiration, blood flow, and blood oxygen can also be monitored. Other equipment can be used for sensory testing—measuring sensitivity, vibration, and even pain. When selecting equipment some things to consider include; the measurement parameters, the animal species, and modes of operation. Visit the equipment suppliers for more information.
