The immune response plays an important role in the onset of neurodegenerative diseases such as Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), a disorder characterized by the progressive loss of the motor neurons controlling voluntary muscle contraction. Understanding the spatial immune and structural landscape of the brain is thus crucial for gaining insight into the complex and poorly understood interactions occurring in the neurodegenerative brain. Multiomic approaches can enable a detailed look at single-cell resolution into the spatial dynamics of neurodegeneration and neuroimmunity.
In this poster from Bio-Techne, learn more about a multiomics assay that combines multiplexed immunofluorescence and RNA in situ hybridization to deliver novel insights into the molecular pathology of ALS and the broader mechanisms driving neurodegenerative diseases.
