Refrigerated Incubators

Refrigerated incubators are versatile instruments ideal for labs that need to heat or cool cells, tissues, and other biological samples. In contrast to standard incubators, refrigerated incubators can cool the chamber temperature to below ambient to 4°C or even as low as -20°C. A microprocessor maintains control of the temperature and many models incorporate a temperature monitoring or protection system. Certain dry block incubators also offer a cooling function, ideal for small-volume assays and reactions that cycle between high and low temperatures. When choosing a refrigerated incubator, consider the main applications for its use and the corresponding temperature range that will best suit that need. Other important considerations include size, capacity, and useful features such as alarms, remote monitoring, outlets or access ports, and data logging.
