Gradient Gels for SDS-PAGE

Gradient Gels for SDS-PAGE Gradient gels for SDS-PAGE can be purchased from various suppliers for protein separation. Gradient gels for denaturing protein electrophoresis feature a gradually increasing polyacrylamide layer from the top to the bottom of the gel. This can allow greater resolution when separating a wide range of protein molecular weights. Ready-made precast gels can help ensure efficiency and consistency in the preparative processes of electrophoresis-based experiments, such as SDS-PAGE. Learn more details from the supplier page, including number of wells, compatible buffers, and more.

  • Clean Separation of Polypeptides (2-400KDa)

I usually used Mini-PROTEAN TGX Precast Protein Gels for the separation of polypeptides in the following from 2KDa up to 400 kDa. I use the standard running buffer containing SDS (10x Tris/Glycine/SDS Running Buffer) or without to retain protein native conformation. I recommend when using Laemmli buffer to dilute 1:1 with sample (and add sterile water to balance all the volumes for a perfect run).
