Cy®5 is a far-red fluorophore commonly used in applications such as immunolabeling, nucleic acid labeling, fluorescence microscopy, and flow cytometry. The dye has an absorption wavelength that peaks around 646-649 nm, and an emission maximum around 664-670 nm. Cy®5 exhibits bright fluorescence and is often used to label proteins and nucleic acids.
