ABTS Substrates

ABTS (2,2'-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulphonic acid)) is a substrate for horseradish peroxidase (HRP), a common antibody conjugate for immunochemical applications. ABTS reacts with hydrogen peroxide and HRP to yield a green, soluble product. Resulting solutions can be measured spectrally at a wavelength range between 405 to 420 nm. ABTS is ideal for use in ELISA applications in the measurement of specific proteins and antigens.
