Description

Understanding which genes are expressed and which pathways are active in biological systems under different conditions is central to unraveling how genes control biology. The DriverMap Targeted Expression Profiling assay combines multiplex RT-PCR amplification to amplify a conserved 80-250 nt segment of the transcript of each of the 19,000 protein-coding genes in the human genome, then applies next-generation sequencing (NGS) to quantitatively assess abundance levels of each of these transcript amplicons. The targeted approach detects lower levels of expressed transcripts more consistently and reliably than other RNA-seq approaches, with much less sequencing and much simpler data analysis required before arriving at the gene copy number information of interest.

Features:
  • Easy to run assay -- one-tube, single-day human genome-wide expression profiling directly from total RNA from any tissue, cell, organoid, or blood sample
  • Efficient multiplex RT-PCR amplification for comprehensive profiles with greater detection of low abundant transcripts
  • Robust, reproducible data from low-input RNA samples—start with as little as 10 pg total RNA
