Arbor Assays’ Alkaline Phosphatase (ALP) Colorimetric Activity Kit provides a fast and quantitative method to measure ALP activity in serum, non-EDTA plasma, and various biological fluids. ALP catalyzes phosphate ester hydrolysis and plays a crucial role in bone metabolism, liver function, and signal transduction. The assay uses p-nitrophenyl phosphate (pNPP) as a substrate, producing a yellow product measurable at 405 nm.
