Katherine Mechling, B.Sci., is a scientist with MilliporeSigma, the life science business of Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany, leading development efforts for GenElute™-E nucleic acid sample preparation products and assisting with the development of mPAGE™ SDS-PAGE precast gels/accessories. Currently, she optimizes workflows for nucleic acids and proteins and leads efforts for sustainable product development. Ms. Mechling’s experience in molecular biology includes development/validation of assays for clinical diagnostic applications (such as cancer and pathogen detection), and pharmacokinetic ligand binding assay development.
