Mr. Mariano Severgnini is the leader of the Center for Immuno-Oncology Immune Assessment Laboratory (CIO-IAL) at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard Medical School. Together with Dr. F.S. Hodi, Director of the CIO, he established the lab to assist investigators from academia and industry in performing mechanistic and biomarker endpoints for clinical studies using the latest available technologies in cancer immunology research including phenotyping, molecular biology and next generation sequencing. In the three years since the lab was created, the CIO-IAL has processed and banked samples and generated data for more than 25 clinical trials. Previously, Mr. Severgnini worked in the pharmaceutical industry (RaNA Therapeutics and Alnylam Pharmaceuticals), as well as at Tufts University where he explored signaling pathways in pulmonary inflammation.
