Sam Jones, PhD, is a Washington, D.C.-based science journalist, copywriter and fact-checker who has written for a wide range of outlets, including The New York Times, Scientific American, and New Scientist, as well as for a number of biotech companies, start-ups, and research institutes. Before she was a full-time science writer, Sam completed her Ph.D. in Biomedical Science at the University of California, San Diego.
