Fig 1: High-magnification of MDCK E-cadherin:DsRed cells treated with Jasplakinolide show altered F-actin organization.Sets of MDCK E-cadherin:DsRed cell monolayers were either untreated, treated with DMSO or 200 nM Jasplakinolide for 1 h and then fixed, treated with DMSO or 200 nM Jasplakinolide for 1 hr, then washed with media, incubated for 1 h and then fixed. Fixation was done with −20°C methanol for 20 min. Cells were then blocked with and stained with Phalloidin FITC (ABCAM, ab235138). Images were acquired with a Zeiss Axiovert 200 inverted microscope equipped with a mercury lamp and a 100X objective.
