AlphaThera was founded by Dr. Andrew Tsourkas and Dr. James Hui at the University of Pennsylvania in 2016. They developed a unique, site-specific bioconjugation method, known as LASIC (Light Assisted Site-specific Conjugation), that enhances assay performance over competing labeling methods. This led to the creation of oYo-Link® antibody labeling reagents.
oYo-Link® Simple, Fast, Site-Specific Antibody Labeling
oYo-Link® enables rapid antibody labeling to a wide variety of cargos including fluorescent dyes, proteins, biotin, azide, oligos, and more. Researchers can prepare conjugates with just 30 seconds of hands-on time and a total of 2 hours.
This innovative, site-specific technology ensures no interference with antibody performance, delivering uniform conjugates and consistent, predictable results. oYo-Link® is compatible with all common buffers including those containing Tris, Azide and albumin, so there is no need for antibody purification, and researchers can label as little as 1µg of antibody at a time, in concentrations as low as 50 µg/mL.
