Founded in 2009 and headquartered in Rockville, Maryland, BioInnovatise operates as a minority-owned CDMO from a facility in the heart of the I-270 Technology Corridor—just a short drive from the National Institutes of Health’s main campus in Bethesda. This strategic location enables the company to serve research and development laboratories across the BioCapital region and beyond, including startups, major pharmaceutical corporations, academic labs, and government agencies like the NIH and FDA.
Researchers depend on BioInnovatise for high-quality molecular biology products and services that advance early discovery phases in cell and gene therapy, immunotherapy, oncology, precision medicine, regenerative medicine, stem cell research, and vaccine development.
Bing Jiang, Ph.D., founded and leads BioInnovatise as CEO, drawing on over 30 years of experience in microbiology and biotechnology. Holding a Ph.D. in pharmacology and biochemistry from Peking Union Medical College and a master’s in cell biology from Beijing Normal University, Jiang conducted postdoctoral work and research at UT Southwestern Medical Center before launching the company. Today, Dr. Jiang oversees lab production and operations. He has expertise spanning molecular cloning, mutagenesis, library construction, vector design, stem cells, plasmid DNA production and purification, CRISPR-Cas9, and viral vector production.
BioInnovatise is known for its minimal turnaroud time for plasmid DNA, viral vector packaging, and CRISPR-Cas9 services. It has completed over 31,000 molecular cloning and mutagenesis projects, more than 400 viral vector packaging solutions, and produced over 1,200 high volume plasmid DNA productions.
New to its product offerings are mouse embryonic fibroblasts (MEF) cells. BioInnovatise’s proprietary MEF cells are derived directly from embryonic tissue rather than being passaged or cultured for an extended period. The cell selection of fibroblast cells are isolated from mouse embryos every 12.5 days, which ensures consistency in their developmental stage at the time of selection.
BioInnovatise’s commitment to speed, quality, and U.S.-based production helps it keep projects on track and drive innovation in cell and gene therapy, immunotherapy, precision medicine, and more.
