Mung Bean Nuclease

A wide variety of enzymes are available for research applications in cellular and molecular biology. To narrow down your search, select desired filters or enter keywords in the provided text boxes. It may be helpful to note the enzyme source, reaction conditions and units of activity provided by the manufacturers before making a purchase.

Mung Bean Nuclease, is an endonuclease that preferentially cleaves single-stranded DNA and RNA. Thus it will not digest DNA-DNA, DNA-RNA, and RNA-RNA duplexes. Cleavage products of mung bean nuclease are 5’-phosphoryl mono- and oligonucleotides. This nuclease is used in removal of single-strand overhangs, DNA blunting, transcriptional mapping, and selective degradation of single-stranded nucleotides. Mung bean nuclease is zinc dependent and is inactivated by EDTA or SDS.
