The protein, with a mass of 135.1 kDa and length of 1208 residues, is reported to be membrane-associated and secreted. It is a member of the Immunoglobulin superfamily, L1/neurofascin/NgCAM family and may be known by other names, including: L1CAM2, CALL, cell adhesion molecule with homology to L1CAM (close homologue of L1), L1 cell adhesion molecule 2, and neural cell adhesion molecule L1-like protein.
