Anti-b-PROTEIN antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The b-PROTEIN antigen is another term for the human protein tyrosinase related protein 1, encoded by the TYRP1 gene. The protein is reported to play a role in melanin biosynthesis. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 537 residues and a mass of 60.7 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane and it is expressed in the small intestine, skin, rectum, duodenum, and colon. The b-PROTEIN protein is a member of the Tyrosinase protein family. Other alias names for b-PROTEIN include CAS2, CATB, and GP75. Indicated applications for b-PROTEIN antibodies listed below include ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, Immunoprecipitation, and Immunohistochemistry.
