Anti-AKT serine/threonine kinase 1 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene AKT1 in humans. The gene may also be known as AKT, RAC, v-akt murine thymoma viral oncogene homolog 1, PKB, RAC-alpha serine/threonine-protein kinase, and CWS6. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 55.7 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, fly, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
