SYBR Green master mixes are a fast and convenient means of carrying out quantitative PCR (qPCR) experiments. SYBR Green is a cyanine fluorophore that intercalates with and stains double-stranded DNA. Measurement of SYBR fluorescence intensity after each amplification cycle allows quantification of the amount of DNA. Commercial mastermix and supermix solutions are ready-to-use and contain all the necessary components, including polymerase, dye, dNTPs and buffer. Simply add the template and primers.
