SLC8A1 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein solute carrier family 8 member A1, which is encoded by the SLC8A1 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to mediate the exchange of one Ca(2+) ion against three to four Na(+) ions across the cell membrane, and thereby contributes to the regulation of cytoplasmic Ca(2+) levels and Ca(2+)-dependent cellular processes. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 973 residues, a mass of 108.5 kDa, and is a member of the Ca(2+):cation antiporter (CaCA) (TC 2.A.19) protein family. It is known to be localized in the cell membrane. As many as 5 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally glycosylated. Other alias names for this target include sodium/calcium exchanger 1, Na(+)/Ca(2+)-exchange protein 1, Na+/Ca++ exchanger, Na+/Ca2+ exchanger, solute carrier family 8 (sodium/calcium exchanger), member 1, and NCX1.
Some SLC8A1 ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 78 pg/mL and as high as 10 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
