These LPC ELISA kits are immunodetection tools for measuring the levels of LPC in biological samples. LPC is an alias of the human PCSK7 gene, which encodes the protein, proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 7. The protein is reported to be a serine endoprotease that processes various proproteins by cleavage at paired basic amino acids, recognizing the RXXX[KR]R consensus motif. The PCSK7 protein is described to be 785 amino acid residues in length and 86.2 kilodaltons in mass. It is localized to the golgi of the cell. In terms of tissue specificity, it is reported to be expressed in spleen, thymus, prostate, testis, ovary, small intestine, colon and peripheral blood leukocyte. This protein is known to be N-glycosylated and palmitoylated. Other names for this target antigen include PC7.
Some LPC ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 246.9 ng/mL and as high as 20000 ng/mL. Click on the following ELISA kits for more detailed information, including target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
