These 3OST1 ELISA kits are immunodetection tools for measuring the levels of 3OST1 in biological samples. 3OST1 is an alias of the human HS3ST1 gene, which encodes the protein, heparan sulfate-glucosamine 3-sulfotransferase 1. The protein is a reported sulfotransferase that utilizes 3'-phospho-5'-adenylyl sulfate (PAPS) to catalyze the transfer of a sulfo group to position 3 of glucosamine residues in heparan. The HS3ST1 protein is described to be 307 amino acid residues in length and 35.8 kilodaltons in mass. It is localized to the golgi of the cell. In terms of tissue specificity, it is reported to be highly expressed in the brain and kidney and weakly expressed in the heart, lung and placenta. This protein is known to be glycosylated. Other names for this target antigen include 3OST and heparan sulfate glucosamine 3-O-sulfotransferase 1.
