These PGD2 ELISA kits are immunodetection tools for measuring the levels of PGD2 in biological samples. PGD2 is an alias of the human HPGDS gene, which encodes the protein, hematopoietic prostaglandin D synthase. Notably, PGD2 is known to play a role in signal transduction pathways, among other functions. The HPGDS protein is described to be 199 amino acid residues in length and 23.3 kilodaltons in mass. It is localized to the cytoplasm of the cell. In terms of tissue specificity, it is reported to be expressed in a number of megakaryocytic cell lines but not in platelets. Other names for this target antigen include GSTS, GSTS1, and GSTS1-1.
Some PGD2 ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 5 pg/mL and as high as 2000 pg/mL. Click on the following ELISA kits for more detailed information, including target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
