PIEZO1 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein piezo type mechanosensitive ion channel component 1, which is encoded by the PIEZO1 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is reported to be a pore-forming subunit of a mechanosensitive non-specific cation channel. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 2521 residues, a mass of 286.8 kDa, and is a member of the PIEZO (TC 1.A.75) protein family. It is known to be localized in the ER and cell membrane and is reported to be expressed in numerous tissues. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally glycosylated. The PIEZO1 gene has been associated with the disease, Dehydrated hereditary stomatocytosis 1 with or without pseudohyperkalemia and/or perinatal edema. Other alias names for this target include ER, LMPH3, LMPHM6, Mib, and DHS.
Some PIEZO1 ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 31 pg/mL and as high as 20 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
