COX4I1 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein cytochrome c oxidase subunit 4I1, which is encoded by the COX4I1 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is a known component of the cytochrome c oxidase, the last enzyme in the mitochondrial electron transport chain which drives oxidative phosphorylation. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 169 residues, a mass of 19.6 kDa, and is a member of the Cytochrome c oxidase IV protein family. It is known to be localized in the mitochondria and is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. The COX4I1 gene has been associated with the disease, Mitochondrial complex IV deficiency. Other alias names for this target include COX4, COX4-1, COXIV, COXIV-1, MC4DN16, and COX IV-1.
Some COX4I1 ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 70 ng/L and as high as 50 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
