DEFB114 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein defensin beta 114, which is encoded by the DEFB114 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to have a salt-sensitive antimicrobial activity against Gram-negative bacteria, including Ecoli, Gram-positive, including Saureus, and fungi, including Calbicans. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 69 residues, a mass of 8.3 kDa, and is a member of the Beta-defensin protein family. It is known to be secreted and is reported to be expressed in epididymis, predominantly in the caput. Other alias names for this target include beta-defensin 14, defensin, beta 14, and beta-defensin 114.
Some DEFB114 ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 78 pg/mL and as high as 10 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
