The 11beta-HSD1 ELISA kits listed below are analytical tools for measuring concentrations of 11beta-HSD1 in various samples. 11beta-HSD1 is an alternative name for the human HSD11B1 gene, which encodes the protein, hydroxysteroid 11-beta dehydrogenase 1. It has been mentioned that 11beta-HSD1 plays a role in lung development, among other functions. Structurally, the HSD11B1 protein is described to be 292 amino acid residues in length and 32.4 kilodaltons in mass. It is localized to the ER of the cell. In terms of tissue specificity, it is reported to be widely expressed, highest expression in liver, lower in testis, ovary, lung, foreskin fibroblasts, and much lower in kidney. This protein is known to be glycosylated. Other names for this target antigen include 11-DH and CORTRD2.
