KIR2DL1 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein killer cell immunoglobulin like receptor, two Ig domains and long cytoplasmic tail 1, which is encoded by the KIR2DL1 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is a known receptor on natural killer (NK) cells for some HLA-C alleles such as w4 and w6. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 348 residues, a mass of 38.5 kDa, and is a member of the Immunoglobulin protein superfamily. It is known to be localized in the cell membrane and is noted to be expressed by NK cells. As many as 2 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally glycosylated. Other alias names for this target include KIR-K64, KIR221, KIR2DL3, NKAT, NKAT-1, NKAT1, p58.1, and CD158A.
