These Nesprin 2 ELISA kits are immunodetection tools for measuring the levels of Nesprin 2 in biological samples. Nesprin 2 is an alias of the human SYNE2 gene, which encodes the protein, spectrin repeat containing nuclear envelope protein 2. Notably, Nesprin 2 is known to play a role in the regulation of cell migration, among other functions. The SYNE2 protein is 6885 amino acid residues in length and 796.4 kilodaltons in mass. However, as many as 13 protein isoforms have been identified. It is localized to the cell membrane, nucleus, mitochondria, and cytoplasm of the cell. In terms of tissue specificity, it is found to be widely expressed, with higher level in kidney, adult and fetal liver, stomach and placenta. This protein is known to be ubiquitinated. Other names for this target antigen include EDMD5, KASH2, and NUA.
There are Nesprin 2 ELISA kits that can detect a target at concentrations as low as 15 ng/L and as high as 20 ng/mL. Click on the following ELISA kits for more detailed information, including target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
