These Lubricin ELISA kits are immunodetection tools for measuring the levels of Lubricin in biological samples. Lubricin is an alias of the human PRG4 gene, which encodes the protein, proteoglycan 4. Notably, Lubricin is known to play a role in immune response pathways, among other functions. The PRG4 protein is 1404 amino acid residues in length and 151.1 kilodaltons in mass. However, as many as 6 protein isoforms have been identified. It is known to be a secreted protein. In terms of tissue specificity, it is reported to be highly expressed in synovial tissue, cartilage and liver and weakly in heart and lung. This protein is known to be O-glycosylated, N-glycosylated and cleaved. Other names for this target antigen include CACP, HAPO, and JCAP.
There are Lubricin ELISA kits that can detect a target at concentrations as low as 15.6 pg/mL and as high as 1000 pg/mL. Click on the following ELISA kits for more detailed information, including target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
