The EPM2A protein is described to be 331 amino acid residues in length and 37.2 kilodaltons in mass. It is localized to the cytoplasm of the cell. In terms of tissue specificity, it is found to be expressed in heart, skeletal muscle, kidney, pancreas and brain. This protein is known to be ubiquitinated and phosphorylated. Other names for this target antigen include EPM2 and MELF.
