These alpha-S1-Casein ELISA kits are immunodetection tools for measuring the levels of alpha-S1-Casein in biological samples. alpha-S1-Casein is an alias of the human CSN1S1 gene, which encodes the protein, casein alpha s1. The protein is known to have an important role in the capacity of milk to transport calcium phosphate; Casoxin D acts as opioid antagonist and has vasorelaxing activity mediated by bradykinin B1 receptors. The CSN1S1 protein is 185 amino acid residues in length and 21.7 kilodaltons in mass. However, as many as 4 protein isoforms have been identified. It is known to be a secreted protein. In terms of tissue specificity, it is reported to have mammary gland specific expression. Other names for this target antigen include CASA, CSN1, and alpha-S1-casein.
The detection range for different alpha-S1-Casein ELISA kits can vary, with some assays measuring target concentrations as low as 78 pg/mL and as high as 200 ng/mL. Click on the following ELISA kits for more detailed information, including target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
