FXR2 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein FMR1 autosomal homolog 2, which is encoded by the FXR2 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is reported to be a mRNA-binding protein that acts as a regulator of mRNAs translation and/or stability, and which is required for adult hippocampal neurogenesis (By similarity). The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 673 residues, a mass of 74.2 kDa, and is a member of the FMR1 protein family. It is known to be localized in the cytoplasm and is reported to be expressed in all tissues examined including heart, brain, kidney and testis. Other alias names for this target include FXR2P, RNA-binding protein FXR2, and FMR1L2.
