MATN3 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein matrilin 3, which is encoded by the MATN3 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is reported to be a major component of the extracellular matrix of cartilage and may play a role in the formation of extracellular filamentous networks. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid sequence of 486 residues and a mass of 52.8 kDa. It is known to be secreted and is found to be preferentially expressed in cartilaginous tissues, such as vertebrae, ribs and shoulders. As many as 2 protein isoforms have been reported. The MATN3 gene has been associated with the disease, Multiple epiphyseal dysplasia. Other alias names for this target include EDM5, HOA, OADIP, OS2, SEMDBCD, and DIPOA.
Some MATN3 ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 20 pg/mL and as high as 40 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
