SERAC1 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein serine active site containing 1, which is encoded by the SERAC1 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to play an important role in the phosphatidylglycerol remodeling that is essential for both mitochondrial function and intracellular cholesterol trafficking. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 654 residues, a mass of 74.1 kDa, and is a member of the SERAC1 protein family. It is known to be localized in the mitochondria, ER, and membrane and is found to be widely expressed, with predominant expression in fetal skeletal muscle and adult brain. As many as 3 protein isoforms have been reported. The SERAC1 gene has been associated with the disease, 3-methylglutaconic aciduria with deafness, encephalopathy, and Leigh-like syndrome. Other alias names for this target include protein SERAC1 and serine active site-containing protein 1.
There are SERAC1 ELISA kits that can detect a target at concentrations as low as 0.156 ng/mL and as high as 10 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
