These Aquaporin 3 ELISA kits are immunodetection tools for measuring the levels of Aquaporin 3 in biological samples. Aquaporin 3 is an alias of the human AQP3 gene, which encodes the protein, aquaporin 3 (Gill blood group). Notably, Aquaporin 3 is known to play a role in the cellular response to hypoxia and carbohydrate metabolism and homeostasis, among other functions. The AQP3 protein is 292 amino acid residues in length and 31.5 kilodaltons in mass. However, as many as 2 protein isoforms have been identified. It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell. In terms of tissue specificity, it is found to be widely expressed in epithelial cells of kidney (collecting ducts) and airways, in keratinocytes, immature dendritic cells and erythrocytes. This protein is known to be glycosylated. Other names for this target antigen include GIL and aquaglyceroporin-3.
Some Aquaporin 3 ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 20 ng/L and as high as 50 ng/mL. Click on the following ELISA kits for more detailed information, including target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
