CA 50 ELISA kits are assays designed to detect the carbohydrate marker CA 50, which is often found in elevated levels in tumour or inflammatory tissues. CA 50 is not organ-specific and higher levels in the serum can be seen in patients with cancer, especially those with gastrointestinal cancers. It is mainly used to follow-up on treatment effectiveness for cancer but higher levels can also be seen in patients with hepatobiliary conditions, such as jaundice. Visit the supplier page for more information about detection range and reactivity.
