COX6A1 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein cytochrome c oxidase subunit 6A1, which is encoded by the COX6A1 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is a known component of the cytochrome c oxidase, the last enzyme in the mitochondrial electron transport chain which drives oxidative phosphorylation. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 109 residues, a mass of 12.2 kDa, and is a member of the Cytochrome c oxidase subunit 6A protein family. It is known to be localized in the mitochondria. The COX6A1 gene has been associated with the disease, Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease. Other alias names for this target include COX6A, COX6AL, cytochrome c oxidase subunit 6A1, mitochondrial, COX VIa-L, cytochrome C oxidase subunit VIa homolog, and CMTRID.
The detection range for different COX6A1 ELISA kits can vary, with some assays measuring target concentrations as low as 0.156 ng/mL and as high as 10 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
