AQP10 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein aquaporin 10, which is encoded by the AQP10 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is reported to be a water channel that mediates water transport across cell membranes irrespective of the cytosolic pH. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 301 residues, a mass of 31.8 kDa, and is a member of the MIP/aquaporin (TC 1.A.8) protein family. It is known to be localized in the cell membrane and is notably expressed in epithelial cells on villi in the ileum, and also in stomach, jejunum, colon, rectum, white adipose tissue and placenta. As many as 2 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally glycosylated. Other alias names for this target include aquaglyceroporin-10 and small intestine aquaporin.
There are AQP10 ELISA kits that can detect a target at concentrations as low as 0.03 ng/mL and as high as 10 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
