TINAG ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein tubulointerstitial nephritis antigen, which is encoded by the TINAG gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to mediate adhesion of proximal tubule epithelial cells via integrins alpha3-beta1 and alphaV-beta3. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 476 residues, a mass of 54.6 kDa, and is a member of the Peptidase C1 protein family. It is known to be localized in the extracellular matrix and is secreted and is reported to be expressed in the kidney cortex, small intestine and cornea. As many as 2 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally glycosylated.
