SUMF1 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein sulfatase modifying factor 1, which is encoded by the SUMF1 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is a reported oxidase that catalyzes the conversion of cysteine to 3-oxoalanine on target proteins, using molecular oxygen and an unidentified reducing agent. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 374 residues, a mass of 40.6 kDa, and is a member of the Sulfatase-modifying factor protein family. It is known to be localized in the ER and is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. As many as 5 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally N-glycosylated. The SUMF1 gene has been associated with the disease, Multiple sulfatase deficiency. Other alias names for this target include C-alpha-formylglycine-generating enzyme 1, FGly-generating enzyme, and formylglycine-generating enzyme.
There are SUMF1 ELISA kits that can detect a target at concentrations as low as 78 pg/mL and as high as 400 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
