PCLO ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein piccolo presynaptic cytomatrix protein, which is encoded by the PCLO gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is reported to be a scaffold protein of the presynaptic cytomatrix at the active zone (CAZ) which is the place in the synapse where neurotransmitter is released (By similarity). The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid sequence of 5142 residues and a mass of 560.7 kDa. It is notably expressed in the developing cerebral cortex. As many as 3 protein isoforms have been reported. The PCLO gene has been associated with the disease, Pontocerebellar hypoplasia. Other alias names for this target include PCH3, protein piccolo, aczonin, and ACZ.
Some PCLO ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 0.156 ng/mL and as high as 10 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
