CD1A ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein CD1a molecule, which is encoded by the CD1A gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is reported to be an antigen-presenting protein that binds self and non-self lipid and glycolipid antigens and presents them to T-cell receptors on natural killer T-cells. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid sequence of 327 residues and a mass of 37.1 kDa. It is known to be localized in the cell membrane and is noted to be expressed on cortical thymocytes, epidermal Langerhans cells, dendritic cells, on certain T-cell leukemias, and in various other tissues. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally glycosylated. The CD1A gene has been associated with the disease, . Other alias names for this target include FCB6, HTA1, R4, T6, T-cell surface glycoprotein CD1a, and CD1.
The detection range for different CD1a ELISA kits can vary, with some assays measuring target concentrations as low as 0.156 ng/mL and as high as 10 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
