The following cortistatin ELISA kits are useful research tools for the measurement of cortistatin in biological samples. In humans this protein is encoded by the CORT gene. This protein is known to bind to all human somatostatin receptor (SSTR) subtypes. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 105 residues, a mass of 11.5 kDa, and is a member of the Somatostatin protein family. It has been described to be a secreted protein. In addition, it is reported to be expressed in a subset of GABAergic cells in the cortex and hippocampus. This protein may also be known as CST-17, CST-29, SST2, cortistatin-14, cortistatin-17, cortistatin-29, prepro-cortistatin, and CST-14.
Some cortistatin ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 222.22 pg/mL and as high as 1000 ng/mL. Use the search filters to narrow your search and click on the ELISA kits below for more detailed information, such as reactivity and assay sensitivity.
