BECN1 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein beclin 1, which is encoded by the BECN1 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to play an important role in autophagy. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 450 residues, a mass of 51.9 kDa, and is a member of the Beclin protein family. It is known to be localized in the membrane, cytoplasmic vesicles, mitochondria, ER, golgi, and cytoplasm and is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally ubiquitinated, cleaved and phosphorylated. Other alias names for this target include VPS30, ATG6 autophagy related 6 homolog, beclin 1 (coiled-coil, moesin-like BCL2-interacting protein), beclin 1, autophagy related, and ATG6.
The detection range for different BECN1 ELISA kits can vary, with some assays measuring target concentrations as low as 31.25 pg/mL and as high as 1000 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
