The protein encoded by AGER has a predicted amino acid length of 404, a mass of 42.8 kDa, and a membrane and secreted subcellular localization. There are currently 10 reported isoforms, as well as sites of glycosylation. AGER may also be known by the following names: RAGE, receptor for advanced glycation end-products variant 20, RAGE isoform sRAGE-delta, and RAGE isoform NtRAGE-delta.
