TNFSF13 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein TNF superfamily member 13, which is encoded by the TNFSF13 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is a reported to be a cytokine that binds to TNFRSF13B/TACI and to TNFRSF17/BCMA. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 250 residues, a mass of 27.4 kDa, and is a member of the Tumor necrosis factor protein family. It is known to be secreted and is notably expressed at high levels in transformed cell lines, cancers of colon, thyroid, lymphoid tissues and specifically expressed in monocytes and macrophages. As many as 6 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally cleaved and glycosylated.
