VAMP2 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein vesicle associated membrane protein 2, which is encoded by the VAMP2 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is reported to be involved in targeting and/or fusion of transport vesicles to their target membrane (By similarity). The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 116 residues, a mass of 12.7 kDa, and is a member of the Synaptobrevin protein family. It is known to be localized in the cytoplasmic vesicles and cell membrane. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally phosphorylated. The VAMP2 gene has been associated with the disease, Neurodevelopmental disorder with hypotonia and autistic features with or without hyperkinetic movements. Other alias names for this target include SYB2, synaptobrevin 2, and NEDHAHM.
The detection range for different VAMP2 ELISA kits can vary, with some assays measuring target concentrations as low as 15 ng/L and as high as 10 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
